Range Overview
The Fortuna Heavy Duty Wheelchair range consists of a variety of transit and self-propelled wheelchairs in seat widths and depths to accommodate most applications. The front and back seat supports use telescopic guides to ensure the seated area is guided to its supports. Each chair has built in strengthening and in particular bracing to reduce the possibility of twisting of the frame.
An additional feature is the option of webbing for the seat and back supports. The seat webbing is adjustable to reduce any slack and can be used to help obtain the optimum seating position. The back support webbing is similarly adjustable and can be used to further help positioning and accommodate the user’s shape. Thereby ensuring the user is comfortable and that the weight is positioned over the rolling diameter of the rear wheels. This also improves stability.
As a further aid to user comfort and safety, a removable foot plate is supplied that fits onto and over the standard foot rests. This enables the user to position their feet in a more dignified manner and ensures that the weight bearing is directed to the hanger mounts and not the ends of the footrests.

Anti Tip Kit, Drum Brakes, Canvas seat & backs, Folding backrest, Elevating & Amputee leg rests, Adjustable armrests, Extended height back rests, Extended height push handles, Backrest extensions, Spoke Protectors, Folding backs.
