SUMED ErgoNest Cushion

The ErgoNest cushion features low profile "high envelopment architecture" using a special foam configuration and is designed primarily for the active user. It provides stable balanced sitting, excellent pressure relief and high user autonomy. The combination of Akton^® and High Resilience Foam increases envelopment around the ischials and coccyx thereby helping to reduce pressure in these high risk areas. An anatomically contoured ABS base effectively redistributes body weight, promotes better balance, inhibits sacral sitting and eliminates the "sling" effect whilst increasing sitting tolerance. The Akton^® viscoelastic polymer pad acts like a human skin minimising friction between body and pad, quickly moulding to body surface shape and stabilising skin temperature in the sitting area, while at the same time reducing perspiration.

The high envelopment cushion with rumoured base diffuses pressure over a large contact area, dampens vibration and requires little or no maintenance. The system may be modified quickly and easily by means of customised components to suit individual needs.
