The Sumed Prago Cushion
The Prago cushion contains a specially-designed button welded module containing Flowform liquid. This liquid enables the module to take up the body shape without a hammock effect being created between the Ischial Tuberosities. The Flowform will adjust across the seating surface with any body movement, thereby varying the pressure on the skin, creating a massage effect and promoting circulation. The module is contained in a foam box to maintain its position and provide additional comfort. The foam box is in a platilon cover to provide waterproofing and protection, the whole then being covered by a two-way stretch, breathable waterproof Polycotton outer cover. A towelling cover is also available. This cushion is patient safe and may be used any way up or round. It requires no maintenance other than routine wiping/washing of the cover. The combination of module and foam assists in pressure sore prevention whilst providing comfort and stability.
